  • Itochu has the option to earn up to 75% interest in property by expending $40 million (USD) in development over 7 years
  • Earn in option includes:
    • Earn 20% interest by investing $10 million by 2009
    • Earn 60% interest by investing additional $23.5 million by 2013
    • Earn 75% interest by investing additional $10 by 2014
    • Pure Nickel remains operator over vesting period with a 10% management fee

Exploration

MAN Claim Map

  • Exploration of the property began in the 1990s
  • Pure Nickel has operated exploration programs over the past three summer seasons with our most in-depth program completed in September 2009.
  • Extensive geophysical work and drilling were conducted in 2009 including
    • 2672 line kilometre ZTEM survey (Z axis Tipper Electromagnetic system) -- superior exploration depth
    • A new ground time EM system (full waveform streaming multisensory fluxgate array), which has the ability to collect low-noise late time data under challenging conditions and identify electromagnetic anomalies at greater than 800 metres depth.
    • 4200 metres were drilled, including one hole which was drilled to a depth of 1066 metres.
