Fond du Lac 43-101 Technical Report |
Pure Nickel's Fond Du Lac Property is located in northern Saskatchewan (Canada) and comprises eight contiguous claims totalling 95,000 acres (38,500 hectares).
Named for the Fond Du Lac lake and river which lies across the extent of its southern border, the Fond Du Lac Property is located on the northern edge of the Athabasca Basin and encompasses the entirety of Axis Lake (north-central area) and is situated only 20 km NW of Stony Rapids.
POV and Nuvilik - Raglan Properties, Quebec (under option to Minergy Ltd.)
- POV Park property (POV A, B, C and D). Total of 148 map staked claims for 58.9km2.
- Nuvilik Lake property (Nuvilik and NKS). Total of 245 map staked claims for 9.25km2.
- covers the prospective horizon at the contact between the Chukotat and Povungnituk Groups and unexplained magnetic features that could correspond to ultramafic rocks associated with the South Raglan Trend.
- Historical Ekwan showing (1.8% Ni and 0.8% Cu over 6.5 meters, 1957).
- Drilled by FL in 1996 and 1997 -6 drill holes totaling 1,037.4m.
- A Zn-Pb-Ag showing is associated with a sequences of felsic pyroclastic and dolomitic rocks. At the showing values up to 10.6% Zn. Horizons can be followed for several kilometres with similar Zn values obtained from grab samples.
SR1 - Raglan Properties, Quebec
- property is (at the most) 45 km long by 14 km wide, covering a surface of 357 km2. It comprises 864 claims acquired from January to July 2003.
- Located in the south-eastern part of the Ungava Foldbelt.
- Covers the basal portion of the Ungava Belt --Rifted margin sedimentary sequence.
- Contains Ultramafic intrusions with disseminated sulphides.
- Best value obtained was from the Spirit area: Pyroxenite with 0.29% Ni, 0.32% Cu, 0.01ppm Au, 0.06ppm Pt and 0.22ppm Pd for 4.96% S.
- Summer 2008 Airborne VTEM survey completed
HPM (Haut Plateau Manicouagan) and Forgues, Quebec (under option to Manicouagan Minerals Inc)
- 2 properties: HPM and Forgues100% Falconbridge.
- Ni, Cu showings found in 1992 at Forgues and in 1999 in the HPM East.
- Massive sulphides found on surface at HPM_east returned grades of 1.67% Ni, 1.04% Cu.
- UTEM ground survey returned a high conductance anomaly that was drill by Falconbridge in 2001 and by Rockwell Ventures in 2002 as part of an Option agreement.
- All holes intersected massive sulphides Total 12 DDH.
- Best results include :
- RCW-2002, 4.15 metres @ 2.34% Ni, 0.54% Cu
- RCW-2004, 5.95 metres @ 2.74% Ni, 0.86% Cu
- Hosted by Gabbro Norites, Norites and Peridotite Intrusion(s).
Harp Lake, Labrador
- 19 claims are held within License 06586M.
- Staked over anomalous nickel and copper gossans in the Harp Lake Anorthosite Complex.
- Three moderate sized bodies of massive titanium and vanadium-rich (16 wt.% TiO2 and 0.70 wt% V2O5) magnetite outcrop in the western portion of the property.
- One moderate sized (50 m by 70 m) gossan consisting of massive to semi-massive pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, magnetite returned assay values ranging between 0.08-0.57 wt.% Ni, 0.19-1.57 wt% Cu, and 0.02-0.16 wt.% Co.
Rainbow, Nunavut
- consists of a series of 36contiguous mining claims totalling 32,498 hectares.
- 6 DDH for a total of 1,010 metres in 2004.
- series of komatiitic and basaltic flows outcrops the entire 30km length of the property.
- Work by Falconbridge in 2004 has confirmed the presence of nickel mineralization near Rainbow Lake in the area referred to as the Main Zone. Mineralisation occurs in outcrop and drill section as fine low grade and tenor disseminations within komatiitc peridotites assaying less than 0.8% Ni (grab and drill core). Massive sulphide boulders were located on surface at one location, called the Main Zone Showing, five massive sulphide samples assayed from this location ranged between 1.93% to 2.23% Ni (with 30.1 to 37.4% S).
- A sample of oxide iron formation in outcrop, with fine dark bands of magnetite, trace sulphide was collected 17 kilometres northeast of the original Rainbow claims. This sample, assayed 26.5 grams/tonne Au and 2.69% S.
